Our nursing team can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, carrying out annual reviews. They also advise on women's health.

Denise Soulsby

Denise has been practice manager at the Friary since 2016. She is involved in managing all the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services. Denise is happy to receive patient comments whether good or bad to improve the services that we offer.

Amy Hardwick

Amy carries out tasks for the GP's as well as holding her own clinical sessions. You can make an appointment with Amy to have your blood pressure check, blood tests, ear irrigation, shingles, flu vaccines, as well as well person and NHS health checks. Amy is constantly adding to her skill set. Reception will book your appointment with Amy where appropriate.

Diana Pritchard

Diana is our Senior HCA, working part-time Diana will see patients for dressings, ear irrigation, smoking cessation as well as NHS and well person health checks. Diana also administers the shingles, flu and B12 vaccines.

Our dispensary may be small compared to the high street pharmacies, but our team will do everything possible to make sure that you receive the best possible service they can provide. Our team are very knowledgeable and efficient and will make your experience in the practice as easy as they possibly can. We can dispense your medication if you are registered with the practice and live a mile away from your nearest pharmacy

Our reception team are your first contact with the practice. They will ask the reason for your appointment so that they can navigate you to the correct service, it may be that you would be better to see a physio or counsellor rather than a GP which the reception team can also make an appointment for. They are happy to help and will endeavour to answer all your questions as efficiently as possible.
