Doctors appointments

Appointments

You may express a preference for a particular doctor, however you may not always get an appointment with that doctor at short notice.

All consultations with doctors and nurses are by appointment only and can be made by telephone or in person during “open” hours.

Appointments for a telephone consultation are available with the doctor. We guarantee to see urgent problems the same day.

Our consulting times are Monday - Friday: 08:30 - 12:00 & 14:00 - 18:00

To book an appointment, please call our reception 01748 822306

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Consult Online

Patients can now consult online with a clinician at our practice as part of a new online service which could save you time and a journey to the practice.

Using the online consultation service makes it easier for us to quickly decide how we can best help you with the least amount of disruption to your day. The service is free and confidential and medical consultations are always reviewed by a GP or nurse.

Simply answer questions about your symptoms online and we’ll get back to you with general advice or signposting, a telephone consultation or, if necessary, we’ll get you booked in for an appointment. You can use the system 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Please DO NOT use this system if your query is medically urgent.

The service also offers access to reliable and trustworthy self-help generic information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that may help you to avoid an appointment altogether.

A clinician will aim to resond within 2 working days, however if you make a specific request for a clinician this may take longer to receive a response.
