Important Notice regarding your COVID-19 Vaccine
We are aware patients in cohorts 7-9 may receive a national letter offering the option to book a COVID vaccine at a mass vaccination site or pharmacy. If you wish to do this please just follow the instructions in your letter. If you prefer to have your vaccine locally via your GP surgery (at Tennant’s Auction House in Leyburn) then please just wait. Local GP practices will shortly be inviting those in cohorts 7-9 who have not yet had their vaccine. PLEASE DO NOT RING THE SURGERY TO ENQUIRE ABOUT HAVING IT LOCALLY. The number of phone calls we are receiving about vaccines is making it very difficult for other patients needing healthcare to speak to us. We will contact you offering you a local vaccine if you haven’t yet had one. Thank you for waiting your turn.
If you or someone you live with does not have symptoms of Coronavirus and you think you need advice from a GP for a health concern please either click the link below for an online consultation or telephone the practice - do not come to the Friary Surgery. If a face to face appointment is needed you will be advised on this.
Order repeat prescriptions in your usual quanities at the usual time. Over ordering of your medicines may mean someone else has to go without their medicines. Order your usual prescription online or use the NHS app. If you are unable to order online please post your repeat slip in the letter box on the front door of the building. You can find out about ordering prescriptions on line at www.nhs.uk
if you are coming to the practice dispensary or local pharmacy in person follow social distancing rules and the rules put in place by the practice or pharmacy to protect you and the staff. Pharmacies may have altered opening times to manage their workload. Sales of some medicines may be restricted in quanity by pharmacies to ensure that there is enough for everyone.
Please do not come to the Surgery - telephone first

Use our Online Consultation System
With Covid-19 meaning we can only see patients in the surgery if absolutely necessary, we'd urge you to use AccuRx, our online consultation system to tell us about your problem and request medical advice - or ask an admin question - we will normally respond before the end of our working day (Monday to Friday). After that, we'll respond on our next usual working day.
