When We Are Closed

If it is a life threatening emergency call 999

if you need medical help but it is not an emergency call 111

During normal practice opening hours, the practice remains your first point of contact for all routine requests

When to call 111

You should call 111 when:

  • Your GP surgery is closed and you need healthcare advice
  • You don't know who to call for medical help

When to call 999

  • Severe chest pain
  • Major accident or trauma
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Severe bleeding
  • Severe breathlessness

In an emergency at night and at weekends, please call the usual surgery number (01748 822306), listen carefully to the message and your call will be transferred to the out of hours service.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
